The oysters an... read more We were quickly seated at the bar on a busy night. The service was friendly and efficient, despite the bartender being busy with other customers. The oysters and burrata appetizers were delicious, and the salmon and steak with lobster tail entrees were excellent. The desserts were a highlight of the meal. Overall, a great spot in a crowded area of town. Service, food, and atmosphere all receive a perfect 5 rating.

They also have several wonderful sandwiches (lobster roll and fish sandwich! and appetizer plates (squash cakes and crab cakes . We will typically eat here 2-3 times during a one week visit. All dishe... read more The food, drinks, and service were all incredible! We ordered a beer and a (delicious! blueberry margarita, Haddock special, and the seafood linguini. All dishes came out quickly and tasted amazing! For dessert we finished up with the blueberry apple crumble and the cappuccino sundae. Wonderful!! Jennifer, our waitress was incredible!

The setting is unique as the restaurant seems to be in an old home that has since been converted to a restaurant. The lighting is nice and the waitstaffare all very professional. Our waitress in particular was very attentive and kind. For our dinner, we started with the crabstuffed mushrooms and the traditional lobster bisque, both were tasty enough. For our entre, we both had the lobster fettuccine-the flavors here were decent as well and the amount of lobster in it for the price we paid was acceptable. We ended the nightwith their blueberry-apple crisp topped with ice cream- it tasted nice as well (though I am partial to my own fruit crisps thatI make at home and Galyn's did not convert me, ha). In all, it was a pleasant experience and we would recommend you give them atry if you're in Bar Harbor. They are located right in the downtown area near the harbor, perfect location for going for a walkafter dinner.

We also ordered... read more Our experience at Galyn's was absolutely perfect! We ordered the twin lobster tail dinner and a hot buttery lobster roll, and both were amazing! We also ordered the Bar Harbor Blueberry Ale. We wish we could've brought a to-go plate home to Georgia. Theatmosphere was also very nice, especially in the dining room with the view of the water.
