Everything we had tasted... read more Great place to stop for lunch, drinks, or both! The gentleman seating everyone was friendly. Our waitress was attentive and personable. Everything we had tasted great! The fresh, warm bread and olive oil is an awesome starter. The salad and house madedressing is also a great choice. The Bar Harbor Burger was cooked perfectly. Port wine was a perfect finish! If there is noroom outside to sit, I recommend upstairs near the window.

Had the Maine combination which included 2 small lobster tails with melted butter, 2 scallops with a sauce (pesto-type) that wasamazing. And one of the best crab cakes I have ever had with a sauce that was also very very good. Shrimp cocktail for anappetizer. Shrimp were so large and tender. Dessert was the blueberry/apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. A fantastic meal andexcellent service

Our service was exceptional even with the Holiday weekend and our food was top notch. We had the Maine sampler collection and I had the halibutspecial. Our entrees were perfection as were the cocktails and the French wine pairing.

The setting is unique as the restaurant seems to be in an old home that has since been converted to a restaurant. The lighting is nice and the waitstaffare all very professional. Our waitress in particular was very attentive and kind. For our dinner, we started with the crabstuffed mushrooms and the traditional lobster bisque, both were tasty enough. For our entre, we both had the lobster fettuccine-the flavors here were decent as well and the amount of lobster in it for the price we paid was acceptable. We ended the nightwith their blueberry-apple crisp topped with ice cream- it tasted nice as well (though I am partial to my own fruit crisps thatI make at home and Galyn's did not convert me, ha). In all, it was a pleasant experience and we would recommend you give them atry if you're in Bar Harbor. They are located right in the downtown area near the harbor, perfect location for going for a walkafter dinner.

We also ordered the Bar Harbor Blueberry Ale. We wish we could've brought a to-go plate home to Georgia. Theatmosphere was also very nice, especially in the dining room with the view of the water.
