**Dining on Route 66: A Retro Experience in Bar Harbor** Nestled in the heart of Bar Harbor, this charming restaurant, inspired by the iconic Route 66, offers a delightful blend of classic Americana and contemporary cuisine. Diners rave about the fresh seafood, particularly the succulent lobster roll and indulgent lobster mac and cheese. The animated atmosphere, adorned with vintage memorabilia and classic tunes, captivates visitors of all ages, making it a favorite family spot. While the service can occasionally feel less personal, the overall experience remains enjoyable. With reasonable prices and a menu that pleases, this diner is well worth a visit for both locals and travelers alike.

A pleasant meal. This is one of the few restaurants in Bar Harbor area that we were able to make an extradition after 5 pm. Even if we have made it, the interior of Route 66 is quite expensive. It is filled with classic Americana, with a 1950s dinner menu aesthetic, while implementing the current kitchen. Overall worth a pleasant meal and a visit.

Cute restaurant/diner with a 1950s theme. They have a lot of trivia/memorabilia from the 1950s. I got the lobster roll and he got the baked/stuffed haddock for dinner. We both enjoyed our meals and the fun atmosphere. Service was friendly and polite.

This was an unexpected delight! I had the Lobster Roll (my first) and I think I ate it in 5 minutes it was so good. The decor is awesome and there are little details all over the space. If you know someone who is really into the 50's/Americana they will LOVE this place!

When we lived in Bar Harbor, we would come here once a month. This is a great place and very fun. Tons of memorabilia items. It is affordable and friendly service. My both children always enjoyed their dinner here.

An enjoyable meal. This is one of the few restaurants in Bar Harbor area that we were able to make a takeout order with after 5 p.m. Even though we did takeout, the inside decor of Route 66 is quite elaborate. It is filled with classic Americana, matchedwith a 1950's dinner menu aesthetic, while implementing current cuisine. Overall, an enjoyable meal and worth a visit.
