Delightful hotel. Very friendly. The kind ladies in the hotel gave our 3 small children a gift every day! Great breakfast selection. Lovely pool was great in the heat of August. Great location with free parking and was close to lakeside. The hotel bar food was quite good and we ate there twice. There were many cafes and restaurant nearby too. Banyoles lake was beautiful and we enjoyed the catamaran tour and hired bicycles too! We will definitely be back to Banyoles and to Hotel l'Ast.
As part of the Irish Rowing Team on training camp in Banyoles we were provided with the best food we could ask for when healthy nutrition is a high priority. Healthy, wholesome meals were provided for lunch and dinner, with great variation and never boring. Fresh, top quality ingredients are used in every meal and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was a delight dining at hotel l'ast night after night. As for the general restaurant provided to the public, the meals looked delicious in a beautifully decorated setting. All round this is a fantastic restaurant!
You are going to be greatly surprised in this 2 star hotel. Rooms are impeccably clean with a comfortable bed and a full size bathroom, (I was in a single room). The location is unbeatable, by the lake, with plenty of things to do. The breakfast was included and it was another surprise, plenty to choose from, fruits, cereals, yoghurt, Catalan sausages, croissants and even they asked us if we wanted cooked eggs or bacon. We will come back definitely .
