This is the best restaurant I’ve discovered in a long time! The food is delicious and perfectly crunchy—my fish didn’t have any excess water. Normally, there's a half-hour wait on Friday nights, but you can place your order, head over to Hellies, and come back to scroll through memes while you wait. At first glance, the chips appear appetizing. However, when it comes to quality, they often disappoint—usually overcooked, greasy, and reminiscent of the frozen variety you'd find at a fish and chip shop. To top it off, these lackluster chips come with a price tag of $6.50. View all feedback.
Pretty good fish. Not a fan of tartar sauce and the chips could've used some chicken salt but otherwise great
No oil, really well drained. Fresh, the beer battered chips were the perfect crispness and light fluffy on the inside.
Oh so sick!!!!I've traveled the world eating street food and backpackingand never have I had such food poisoning!I know it's definitely this restaurant as my dog ate a small piece of fish too and was so violently ill I have had to dispose of a whole sofa!The response from the owner was utter distain but seemed to remember the order and quickly opened the till handed me $10 and expected that was it...despite me missing 3 days of work! She just didn't care but wasn't surprised!!!I've asked locally and no one I know eats there as they have all been crook.Be warned!!!
Very intelligent and efficient run business! the chips are the best I have ever tried and I never have to wait for more than 10 minutes. they really do something right at the reef fish banyo. beautiful and friendly staff. always a pleasure to go to reef fish banyo! stunning display of the species, how to run a fish and chips shop effectively, efficient and very intelligent! well done and will definitely be back.
Calamari was burned. Fish was burned, both were drowning in the oil. chips were the only thing that was not burned will not go well at all.
