Island Gate is a Cork staple for travelers on the old main road to Youghal Waterford. With the new bypass, the area has become quieter, making for a more peaceful visit. I recently dined at Island Gate after a long time away. While the decor feels a bit outdated, the food was excellent—high quality and served hot. With some updates to the ambiance, this place could be fantastic, but currently, it feels somewhat dull and uninspiring.
Great value for money, and the desserts were delicious. Highly recommended. I tried the roast chicken with ham and mashed potatoes, and it was excellent.
Food was great and the service by Kate was excellent.
Our office order from this zambrero all the time and love it so much it's concerning. Staff are always lovely and happy to help. Shout out to Saoirse for adding guacamole to our burrito
