This is my favorite place to eat in Bansko. The food is amazing and totally vegan. People there work very friendly and the atmosphere is cozy.
We loved the atmosphere as cozy as if you were invited to eat in someone's place! You also have a real fireplace. The food was very delicious and healthy! 19 lev for a main and an appetizer / supplement (She offered salad, soup or avo on toast . Spoke with a chief a lovely man who strives to become vegan. I love this place. Would recommend and would come back if ever after Bansko. #Veganuary Updated by previous review on 2023 01 09
I was in Bansko, Bulgaria. And I was looking for vegan food. Because I'm vegan and my kids are vegetarian. The interior of the restaurant is so beautiful and modern inside. I and my family tasted menu of the day (they have vegan or vegetarian options). I think it's just room with so delicious vegan food for this value. Stuff and cook really professional guys who have their job with so much love. Thanks for perfect service and nice food. I will definitely visit again. And I can also recommend this beautiful restaurant for all vegan and vegetarian people!!
I was surprised how many options for vegans I can find at Bansko. And especially this vegetarian restaurant where 80% of the food is vegan. The people who own the restaurant were very nice and caring. The price is quite normal and the quality of food is very good.
A completely vegetarian restaurant has been long overdue in Bansko and Le Retro fills the spot with unique style. Offering a small, fresh and interesting menu with vegan options too. Our particular favourites were the light crispy quinoa fritters, the amazing mushroom burger (which would satisfy any meat eater) and the cauliflower steak with zingy chimichanga dressing on a bed of risotto. The food, warm welcome, and cosy ambience of this old town mehana, fuses the best of traditional hospitality with modern, meat free dining.
