Phamous Vietnamese Restaurant

The operators of this restaurant wisely chosen not to take on the pho juggernaut that is An Restaurant across the road, choosing instead to focus on the traditional com tam and vermicelli offerings. What it does offer, it does it very well. Com tam is the house specialty here, other places will precook their pork chops in bulk and reheat them to serve. Not here, the marinated pork chops are freshly grilled for each order. Traditional broken rice are served with thinly shredded pork, prawn cake, a fried egg, slice of cucumber and tomato, and pickled carrots and cabbage. All of this is combined on a single plate giving you a great tasting meal to give you another option from that pho place across the road.

This restaurant is a diamond in a street of gems, great food, friendly atmosphere. The only down side is that its very noisy, but the excellent food makes up for it. Unlike An they take bookings.

The sign in the window says 'best pork chop' so had to try it and yep I think they are right! Wonderful tasty meal with broken rice, runny egg, salad ...yum! I've been back lots of times and their Vietnamese noodle salads are the bomb! Famil business and very friendly... Go there!

Great place, our church of 20+ people visit at least once a month on a sunday to have dinner. Service is great, fast, friendly and fresh food. Love it.

The best of Sydney. No matter how many times you spend your time visit this place, the tastes of foods, especially broken rice meals, are never change. Rice is just well-cooked, while the pork is so tasty, it makes me remember while I was a little child having this kind of meal every morning in Vietnam. You will never find such a place like this in Sydney. Trust me, best of the best in broken rice meals!!!
