Oporto - Bankstown

This is a smaller than usual outlet in the Bankstown Homemaker Centre, however the service is really good and the order is delivered promptly. Food quality is very good and the addition of a very hot chili sauce is great.

Had my options explained and order taken by a very tall and courteous young man. My salad was cooked to perfection with tender chicken and crispy lettuce. Definitely recommend (although cannot comment on how they go when busy).

I couldn't believe that when ordering I was told that there was only half a chicken left and the last one had beeb sold. Really at dinner time I would expect that many would be cooked and ready for the influx of customers purchasing a chicken for their dinner. How hard is it to get a whole chicken. Apparently I would then have to wait an hour. Sorry for a large chain this is not acceptable.

Ok we all love Oporto, and even if you're reading this and thinking "Well, I don't like Oporto" you're kidding yourself.

I used to be a loyal member at this restaurant last year and even reached platinum status. However, despite the price increases, the quality and service have continued to improve each year. The portion sizes have decreased slightly, but the service is consistently excellent. My most recent experience was disappointing as I had a $2 credit that was not properly scanned, so I was unable to redeem it. I only found out after returning home. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant at all costs.
