Cafe Dibi - Bankstown
Cafe Dibi
Description
Nestled in the heart of the city, this café boasts an extensive menu that has garnered mixed reviews. While patrons rave about its rich Vittoria coffee and appealing ambiance, frustrations arise over inconsistent food quality and sluggish service. Dishes like the dry bolognese and unappetizing breakfast items leave diners disappointed, with some even encountering moldy sauces. Despite these setbacks, many hold out hope for a return visit, drawn by the café’s stellar coffee and positive reputation. It appears this eatery may still have potential, but improvements in food consistency and customer service are crucial for a better dining experience.

Typical cafe with a large menu and drinks. the iced coffee was kinda disappointing as there was too much milk. the bolognese was simple, kinda dry pasta (hard) and it was a very large serving. the lorraine quiche was nice but i felt it was soo weird to be served with the salad. the salad was dressed with balsamic vinegar, it was quite weird.i was really hopeful for this cafe but i will try again because of it's great reviews.
I cannot begin to state how poor this establishment makes their coffee. Firstly, I made the mistake by stopping by to sample their vittoria blend- poor coffee from an old time rated coffee house. Just because they have been around for a while, means nothing. Vittoria move with the times. Secondly, if you have a barista that has no idea about producing a nice coffee, then you will end up with ****. I ordered two moccas double shot. first lot were weak and bitter. Told them to make it again. I regretted even bothering to ask as they made another that were even more bitter. I just don't understand how people put up with poor coffee.
I came twice in one day. Coffee and cake were great. Then I came at lunch time. While my sandwich was fine, having to search for my ordered drink was not. Thus I was disappointed.
I come from Italian heritage and am known as a "coffee snob". This is one of the few cafes in Sydney that has the good taste to serve Vittoria coffee! The barista was very friendly and made my coffee just the way I like it (large with 2 sugars and extra hot). Highly recommended!
