It was a twenty mi... read more We were visiting the area and one of the recommended restaurants was closed, so we looked at Yaks and it was bookable online, which was good. It was a twenty minute walk from our guest house, but worth it. We had a friend who was lactose intolerant and this was not a problem for the restaurant. Our friends had never eaten Nepalese and it was a good new experience. The momo 's were excellent, just like in Nepal! The waiting staff were attentive and listened to what we said and were quick with the service. We were introduced to the chef, but he was shy. A nearby table was having a family reunion. At the end of their time, the manager gave everyone in the restaurant a glass to celebrate the reunion, a nice touch. One friend asked for 'medium ' hot, this was a bit hot for him and with hindsight he should have ordered mild. We would recommend this restaurant to everyone and would visit again if in the area.

I visited for the third time to celebrate a birthday, and we were pleasantly surprised with a lovely chocolate cake complete with candles and a glass of bubbly.
