I couldn't get enough of the triple shot latte with almond milk at this restaurant. I added a little honey and it was absolutely delicious. The espresso was not burnt at all. I ended up coming back four days in a row because I loved it so much.
I am visiting from Grande Prairie and I wish we had coffee this delicious up north!
Whitebark, located at the Banff Aspen Lodge, is a must-visit if you're staying in the area. The restaurant offers a large lounge space indoors and a patio outside. If you need a place to work, there are outlets available at the ledge opposite the cash register. Whitebark has plenty of vegan options, both savory and sweet. I enjoyed an oat milk cappuccino, a blueberry muffin, and a piece of coffee cake during my visit. The cappuccino was particularly delicious, and the $1 upcharge for oat milk was the best price I found in Banff. While the coffee cake and blueberry muffin were tasty, I found them to be a bit too sugary and lacking in blueberry or coffee flavor. I overheard staff mentioning that prices may increase soon, possibly due to the upcoming ski season. Despite this, Whitebark is still very affordable during the off-season, especially for Banff.
