Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Banff's main streets, the Waldhaus Restaurant sits at the convergence of the Spray River and the 15th hole. Step into our "House in the Forest" and savor an array of authentic Swiss and German dishes in an ambiance reminiscent of an old hunting lodge. Dark, rich wood paneling, a grand fireplace, and a stunning wine cabinet showcasing our excellent selection of wines set the stage for a memorable dining experience. Please be aware that the Waldhaus Pub Patio is a separate location and does not accept reservations. Kindly note that the Waldhaus is a designated historical building, complete with stair access to all areas.

Nestled in the scenic Fairmount area, this delightful restaurant offers a memorable dining experience with a charming atmosphere, complete with a crackling fireplace. Guests rave about the delicious menu, particularly the cheese fondue and schnitzel, which are served in generous portions, making sharing highly encouraged. While the food quality is exceptional, some diners express concern over steep prices, suggesting that certain items, like Kahlua-infused drinks, can lead to unexpected bills. Service received high praise, with attentive staff enhancing the overall experience. Despite minor inconveniences, such as parking and disruptive patrons, the restaurant remains a beloved choice for many.
The cheese fondue was fantastic. The atmosphere was lovely and casual, featuring a beautiful fireplace and pleasant music.
The food was absolutely delicious, but it was also quite pricey. I understand that being in Fairmount typically means higher costs, but $88 for a cheese fondue feels excessive. On a positive note, our server was fantastic!
Such a magical experience! The fondue and food were so delicious it was hard to not eat too much! Our waitress was an absolutely lovely compliment to the meal. The crackling fire and setting are out of a dream
