7 Hills Restaurant does not always honor reservations made on their website, as some customers experienced. The restaurant can get quite loud and busy, making communication difficult for patrons. On pasta night, some diners found the food to be lacking in flavor. However, the Ribeye experience for two was a hit with a group celebrating a special occasion. Larkspur Lounge was praised for its generous food portions, wide drink selection, and entertaining live music. Despite some reservation issues, the home-cooked food at 7 Hills was enjoyed by many. Visitors to the restaurant during a trip on The Rocky Mountaineer felt like royalty, thanks to the excellent service and delicious drinks. Overall, the reviewers had positive experiences at these dining establishments.
Wednesday evening Italian buffet (out of season only) is amazing value for money for such excellent food in luxurious surroundings.
Delicious food and a beautiful view. The people next to us were very loud. It certainly wasn't the restaurants fault. Our server was efficient and friendly. I give him a thumbs WAY up!
Our excellent waiter Julien was personable and helpful with the menu. The Thanksgiving menu was delicious and we were able to make modifications. Such great food we went back for breakfast!!
Our tour return was delayed and we missed our reservation time. The Primrose was so understanding and was able to give us a small window to get dinner. The entire staff was so so pleasant and friendly and put us at our ease after a long day. We had a lovely and delicious dinner!
My biggest complaint was that the waitress failed to tell us that they did not have the lamb shank before we ordered our wine. we ordered a Merlot thinking that we would be eating red meat. Instead, we wound up ordering fish and had to have red wine instead of my preferred white wine. Most restaurants that we have gone to, the first thing the waiter will tell you about is the specials, then if something is not on the menu, they will let you know. I was very annoyed with her for failing to relate this to us before we ordered wine since we would have ordered a white instead.
