The food and service at this restaurant are excellent. The Covid protocols in place make the space feel a bit empty and open, but the staff is following the necessary guidelines for safety during this time.
This dinner experience was unusual. We had made a reservation for a 3-course meal along with booking our hotel stay. The reservation was for 7:30, and we started off with mushroom flatbread and poutine as our starters. The waitress mentioned that the portions were not small, but since we had already paid for the meal, we decided to order both. The poutine was fantastic, but sadly the flatbread didn't meet our expectations. By 8:30, the waitress informed us it was last call and we still hadn't received our mains, so we had to forgo having wine with our meal. For our main dishes, we had the tenderloin and boar chop, both of which were delicious, nicely seasoned, and perfectly cooked. Most of the sides were simple but satisfactory. However, the rye and leek bread pudding was not to our liking as it had too much caraway. At 8:53, the music was turned off, while we were still enjoying our mains. Consequently, we had to take our dessert to go. We had initially planned to order a dessert with rum pairings, but since the bar closed early, we were unable to do so.
Best pork chop I have ever had! I do wish that they had have updated their website when they had changed the menu, my husband was really looking forward to the elk bourgeois. But the evening still turned out nice for our year anniversary
Our survey ended up being the food and beverage manager, christen was awesome. Lots of fun and very professional
