Park - Banff
Park
Description
A recent review of Park Distillery revealed mixed experiences for diners. Some felt that the food was overpriced and lacked flavor, with dishes such as the Bison Burger and shrimp tacos falling short of expectations. The service was also criticized in some instances, with slow delivery of items and a lack of attention from servers. However, others found the ambiance to be cozy and welcoming, with standout dishes like the campfire-cooked beef dip sandwich. Additionally, the distillery offers guided tours with informative and friendly guides, as well as a tasting experience that was praised for its value and quality. In conclusion, while the food and service at Park Distillery may have been hit or miss for some, the overall experience was deemed enjoyable by many patrons.

We went here after seeing they had a free tour when walking past. I'd recommend booking in as our group was full. The tour was free and our guide, Austin, was the best ever! He was so informative and definitely knew his stuff. He was friendly and not over the top like some guides. The tour was about 20 minutes long and then we were invited to do a tasting for $20. We didn't feel pressured to do the tasting at all but wanted to do it anyway. Austin talked us through all the different spirits and answered every question our group had. You got quite a lot for the $20 and you could easily share it with 3 or 4 people. We also got a discount in the store after our tour. We didn't eat here but the food coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled delicious! Overall a great experience and Austin was an awesome guide!
The drinks all seemed to be doubles and when we finally got them they were ok at best. We paid and moved on to the next stop.
We had already eaten unfortunately but were in need of GIN ! We sampled a few and had some nice chats with our waitress. It was a July evening and although inside we were near the windows that open floor to ground, so it felt like you were outside. The food looked good and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. The gin was good but not quite up to one of our favourites - Mermaid Gin from the Isle of Wight. We didn't buy any Park Gin. Do visit though, it's fun.
