After a fun free concert at the Banff Center, we headed over to this Bistro. What User doesn't like about Maclab Bistro:
I had the quinoa pancakes and they were very doughy and tasted raw. The server was very kind and took them back. I ordered toast and bacon and she didn't charge me so service was obviously great. Food was disappointing though. Even the toast and bacon was sub par. Beautiful views of the mountains, wish the food was better. View all feedback.

I can only speak to the atmosphere, location, and service of the restaurant, all of which were excellent. For a better idea of the food, I recommend checking out the reviews already posted here.

My husband had a pizza/flatbread and I had the greek mezze salad plate-- both great. If we ever found ourselves in Banff again, we'd definitely go back.
We had the wild mushroom flat bread pizza here, and it was really good. Both the pizza and the beer were reasonably priced for a hotel bar. They have something of a monopoly because downtown Banff is a 15 minute hike away through the hills and woods. Decor is very modern and the view is excellent. You can sit at regular tables, high chair tables, high chair bar, or sofas with coffee tables, or outside. Be aware that you will get late afternoon sun in many locations in the bistro.
