Very rarely would I take a chance with a restaurant that is rated below 4 stars. But in this case, after 5 days on the road with only sandwiches and burgers, the craving for traditional Chinese food overcame any bias. And boy, am I sure glad it did! The portions were HUMONGOUS! What Dewitt Quitzon doesn't like about Bamboo garden:
Worth more than 3.8 stars once we tried. We arrived in Banff after travelling for 5 days and wanted something different than on the road food. This hit the spot and the food was delicious. We ordered the set meal for 2 and they were happy changing the pork spring rolls to vegetable and the chicken fried rice to egg fried rice. Staff were friendly and kept refilling our water as well. Very bad service and arrogant attitude from one of the waitresses. Double check your bill and memorize the prices of your order dishes before your payment.
Been here two times. Restaurant smells a bit musty and I wouldn't go here for the atmosphere. I usually eat the Pad Thai, which is ok, but nothing special. It has a very standard 'asian' menu, and is fairly reasonably priced.
