I typically try to avoid tourist traps, but we needed a quick meal before our shuttle to Morraine Lake and a place to stay dry from the rain. After reading a friend's negative review on Yelp, I was worried about the food quality. However, I was pleased to find that only one item was not enjoyable. The bison burgers were surprisingly juicy and tasty, a pleasant deviation from past experiences. My side salad was fresh, and even my friend who doesn't usually like poutine enjoyed it. Unfortunately, my girlfriend's cheeseburger was dry, flavorless, and chewy. The standout dish was the thai curry with shrimp, which was incredibly flavorful and had us all saying "Mmm!" The restaurant has a crowded parking lot next to a gas station and offers plenty of seating for post-meal card games. Prices are on the higher side due to the tourist location, but with the right choices, you can have a satisfying meal at Mountain Restaurant.
