Plenty of vege... read more A really lovely evening at Spelt. The food was delicious and the service friendly. It is relaxed, but the quality of the restaurant is very good. Plenty of vegetarian options. Well cooked, tasty fish dishes. Dogs welcome. Although the restaurant is small, it is divided into 3 rooms, so we didn’t feel cramped. The parking is either in the high street, or a very close public car park. A good find in a pretty town. Vegetarian options: Delicious meatless balls!

The menu offere... read more I had an absolutely wonderful meal at Spelt, the perfect neighborhood restaurant. The food was fantastic, paired with some excellent local beer. The menu offered a great variety, catering to both vegetarians and meat lovers. I particularly enjoyed the delicious cauliflower main and the great burger. The desserts were also outstanding. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of everything on the menu. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. I can't wait to return, possibly for their Sunday roasts! As for vegetarian options, there were plenty of excellent main dishes available.

The staff were all friendly, helpful, and very professional. The meals were amazing, cooked to perfection and paired wonderfully with the excellent local beer from “Cottage Beer Project.” I highly recommend their “Doodle Pale Ale.” Service: Dine-in.

Spelt truly is a hidden treasure; from the moment you walk in, you’re greeted warmly, starting with a personal welcome from Paul, the owner. The staff is consistently friendly, warm, and attentive. The food is on another level—every dish is incredibly fresh and delicious, regardless of what you choose from the menu. My children are quite picky eaters, but at Spelt, we all left with clean plates! We can’t wait to return on our next visit. If you're in the area, be sure to book in advance; you won’t regret it!
