Very warm welcome and perfect service. For the same price, you can find much better, there is a little lack of sophistication in the plates, for example the simmered beef is served with fries and rice, not very consistent and dry meat. The grilled piece of beef was hearty and cooked as requested.

It was luck for me that brought me to this place, passing through Balzac, it was the lady I met at the town hall who pointed me to this restaurant. The friendly waitress,... read more So,,,, we booked and when we arrived, not many people. After presentation, we were assigned table 16, in a corner of the restaurant room. The friendly waitress, but not really trained for this job, didn't really direct us well. Wine order, no menu, HA. We were invited to go to the cellar to choose our bottle, original and rather very appreciable. The choice was complicated, but this cellar is an unsuspected richness, exceptional Portuguese wines, impossible to find elsewhere, a very very good surprise. After choosing our wine, return to the table, and there, the starters that we had ordered were served in our absence. Good meal, nothing more, but good and well served. When we left, the bar room was lively, in contrast to the sad and dark room where we had been seated. The terrace was also cheerful and atmospheric. Why did you assign us a table far from the soul of the place? This is our only regret because the establishment is quite correct despite the slightly excessive prices, too bad we came for a birthday, we were looking for a bit of joy and a bistro atmosphere.
