We really enjoyed our visit here. The brussel sprout appetizer is outstanding! They have a light balsamic honey drizzle on them and it was surprisingly delicious on the brussel sprouts. The margherita pizza is good. The Caesar salad is a very large portion, a little heavy on the dressing but otherwise good. The appetizer portico fries are a large portion as well. Service was friendly and the atmosphere is nice. We wa... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Red Star Fells Point:
Despite having been prompted by open table to confirm my reservation, Red Star was closed when we arrived on Saturday night. There was nothing on the website, as well as no sign or explanation on the door just closed. Luckily we were able to walk in to another place. Not sure what's up but they should take themselves off open table and update or take downs their website. Bummer because we like that place... View all feedback.

We stopped in on a Wednesday night for some drinks and food. Pork belly pizza was delicious, and the perfect size for two. Only reason for 3 stars is our server Kristin gave us a very weird negative vibe. She only came over twice and didn’t seem friendly. Manager stopped by and was kind, we wanted more drinks but she didn’t come back over. When she dropped the check we said thank you and she had a weird look on her face and walked away without saying anything. Maybe she was having a bad night but it left us feeling weird and upset.
I work on a boat. At the end of the night, a drunk passenger handed me leftovers he couldn't finish; a quarter of a pizza and four-ish handfuls of fries. Two hours past when he must have received his food- minimum-, cold and soggy in the bottom of a crumpled white takeout box, they were some of the best fries I've ever had. Five stars. Incredible.
I went here on a Friday evening; it was not too busy and we sat outside. We both ordered the Key Brewery sour gose and a pizza. I got the mushroom pizza and she got the pork belly one. They were both delicious! Our server was very friendly and helpful. The lady who brought out our pizzas was also super friendly. At one point during the night the manager came out and checked with all the tables that everyone was doing well. While I cannot speak to anything else on the menu, I do recommend their pizza. Oh, and the tip is autoincluded with the bill under “service fee” (I think that’s what it was called).
The pizza is delightful, the sauce is a bit sweet for me but other than that, no complaints. The appetizer selection is diverse enough to accommodate all types, but the calamari is very good in my opinion. My only real complaint is the absurdly communist overtones denoted by red star, but the staggeringly un-communist practice of not just feeding me according to my need. They need to educate themselves, also, (being broke) I was forced to dine-and-dash (for the proletariat). Luckily, the staff are all super flimsy hipsters so they couldn 't catch me. Draft beer selection is also very good. The building is also indicative of American industrial revolution, which not only speaks to the beauty and longevity of the architecture, but also to the failure of the red star system. I can 't tell if this is some sort of distasteful irony in which this nuveau-riche FP restaurant belittles the deaths of 50 million of our comrades, or maybe I 'm reading too much into it. Regardless of their counter- revolutionary practices, baller pizza, give it a shot.
