Amazing liquor store/neighborhood bar/cafe. Kudos to the kitchen staff they are efficient and make yummy fresh food. Kudos to the wine buyer wonderfully eclectic selection something for everyone. All at a fair price point. One thing to note. The manager (older white guy) sits at a 6 top, working on his computer, and seems like another customer until he doesn’t like something and jumps up. A bit creepy, but just ignor... View all feedback.

This is a tough review to write because our experiences here have been a real mixed bag. First, the good: the alcohol selection is fantastic, and the food, particularly the vegetarian options, is genuinely great. We 've also had wonderful interactions with two specific staff members: the friendly woman who does the wine tasting (I can 't recall her name! and the guy with the moustache behind the bar (there are 2 but one of them is nice . They truly understand hospitality. However, our most recent visit yesterday was the final straw and means we won 't be returning. As a pescatarian, I 've appreciated their veggie options. I simply asked to swap chicken for prawns in a salad, something the restaurant has accommodated in the past. The girl behind the bar immediately stood with her arms crossed and bluntly said, 'No, we don 't do substitutions. ' When I mentioned past experiences, she smirked and said, 'Well, I can ask but they will say no. ' What truly bothered me was that the manager was clearly observing this exchange and did absolutely nothing. My husband and I felt incredibly awkward and ended up leaving, embarrassed and irritated. What should have happened is a simple 'Let me check, and if you want prawns, we 'd be happy to add them for an extra $2-3. ' We would have gladly paid! This isn 't the first time we 've felt unwelcome. We 've spent over $500 at this establishment since moving here on April 1, and not once has the manager, who always seems to be at his computer at a 6-seater table, greeted us warmly or even acknowledged our repeated visits (it 's not a large place! . It 's truly a shame because the kitchen is clearly talented, but the lack of welcoming atmosphere, stemming from what appears to be poor management, makes this place feel unwelcoming. We 're looking forward to trying Pusser 's when it opens and will be sending our friends there instead

5 Stars – Favorite Spot in Canton Lighthouse Liquors is hands-down one of the best spots in Baltimore. It’s got that perfect mix of laid-back and lively—great people and an energy that just makes you want to stay awhile. Whether you’re meeting friends, on a date, or just rolling solo, it always feels like the right call. The food is solid every time, and the wine selection is honestly one of the best in the city. Super curated but never pretentious—you can find funky natural bottles, classic reds, chill whites, and everything in between. If you don’t know what you’re in the mood for, they’ll help you find something perfect without the wine snob attitude. The whole staff is awesome—friendly, welcoming, and on it—but Caila, the girl behind the bar, deserves a special shoutout. She’s the kind of person who remembers your name, gives great recs, and somehow always makes the place feel even more inviting. She’s a total gem. Lighthouse isn’t just a bar or a shop—it’s a vibe. Can’t recommend it enough.

Chef Josh was incredibly friendly and helpful. We discovered this place by chance while coming from the city, and we had a wonderful time!
