The food was fabulous from appetizers to desserts. The French press coffee was also outstanding as was the warm comforting pita bread and humus. The service was also extraordinary. The waiter gave us great recommendations and very personable. View all feedback.
What JoeM doesn't like about Cypriana:
Service was horrible. I thought walking through the building to get to patio was weird. Food was saving grace. tasty and well prepared tho $16 for two tiny pieces of halloumi was a bit steep. View all feedback.
The owner is always there and will tell them what is vegan. the pita is fresh and unbelievable, I could live on this pitas and hummus. they have many other options such as dolmades and mousaka with a vegan, chickpea based béchamel sauce. best falafel in the city.
Came for vegan restaurant week. best falafel I've ever had. the dessert was incredible. cruel on the outside, soft teig center, not too sweet. very warm and friendly service.
The chef's menu for large groups is excellent. The only downside was that each course arrived too quickly. We felt rushed and had to ask multiple times for them to slow down the pace of the courses.
We had a wonderful waitress, The noise level was high, both from other customers, as well as the background music. Foodwise, the classic hummus and pita was delicious. My wife and I both had the pork belly entree. While I expect pork belly to be somewhat fatty, ours was 90% fat. The seasoning was not particularly good. We will give Cypriana another try in the next month or two and have different entrees at that time.
I had high hopes for my visit to Cypriana for some Greek cuisine, but unfortunately, my experience fell short. The service was disappointing and the staff seemed indifferent. I couldn't even get feta cheese added to my dish at a Greek restaurant! Despite requesting additional pita bread and more ice multiple times, my requests were never fulfilled. The lack of care and attention overshadowed the quality of the food. My tip reflected the poor service I received. To make matters worse, the restaurant even had the audacity to contact my dining companions (who were locals, unlike myself) to complain about the tip. It seems they are more focused on their reputation than on providing excellent service to their customers. I won't be returning.
