This is an interesting spot. It's very different than anywhere else you'll find in that area. Our food was really good and we went on a Sunday morning and were still sat and served quickly. With that said, I don't find the service to be particularly attentive. The hostess was surprised to see us standing at the hostess stand. She never really did greet us. Our server was nice but we had to flag someone down to get ou... View all feedback.
What A Marie doesn't like about Chucks Trading Post:
Do not waste your time or money! The service quite frankly sucks although servers are incredibly sweet but you'll wait 30-45 minutes for your drinks then when you're finally finished eating you'll have to hunt someone down to pay your check...or at least this has been my experience 4 visits in a row. They are also constantly out of everything on the menu unless you want a skillet then you'll be fine as again this has... View all feedback.
This place is great! Food was delicious and service was excellent. We got the cheese steak. I'm from the Philly are so not as good as Philly but quite good for Baltimore. Good bread. We also the Spaniard Skillet and that was lovely. Everything bagel English muffin was fun and unexpected. I'm going to try the steak and eggs next time I'm there.
Cool place with decent burger and fries. Wednesday night is burger night and the rest of the menu is not available. Good selection of interesting burgers. But mine was a little over done.
Very cool, down home, kinda place. Fantastic skillets, lots of other options. They also have a sort of market there for carry out, beer, wine, vegetable cart, just a cool place. Inexpensive too, lots of options in the $9-12 range. A big menu for all kinds of diets. Not huge so there was a short wait, we called ahead because we had a table for 6. Indoor and outdoor seating options but not a big place. Sort of hidden in a corner of Hampden but not too far from the end of the Avenue. A cool spot.
We got there right as they were closing, but they took our to-go order. It was so good, we ended up just eating in the car. Will return! 4/19/22 update! We dined in and the food was even better.
First of all, I absolutely love this place for brunch! This review in particular is for a catering order. Catering menu is readily available online. Tracey was super responsive and the restaurant was able to provide us with a last minute breakfast for 15 (requested just shy of 48 hrs in advance) Everything was ready to go right on time for my pick-up, they even loaded it into my car. Food was awesome, especially the french toast! This says a lot considering that it had to travel 20 mins on a cold morning, plus time for my set-up. The fresh fruit included in the breakfast package was perfectly ripe and sweet. Our office staff loved everything and I look forward to using Chuck's for future catering needs.
