Great food and wonderful atmosphere. I hope to visit again soon. Our server was very attentive and the manager David gave us a full tour of the beautiful private area. View all feedback.
What Wilhelm Dickinson doesn't like about Bentley’s:
the waiter had to tell us what was not available on his limited menu. half of the menu was not available. the carbcakes are ridiculously small for the price. I'm not back. View all feedback.
Parking is street only and sparse. We had 8 pm reservations on a Friday , they weren’t busy (25 count at bar area only) and had only been open 4 hours prior for happy hour. How do you run out of your main plates on a Friday and only four hours into your service time??? A straight juice was ordered and they served fermented pineapple juice, I could smell it had turned and immediately tasted it; not a good start. Back to they ran out of food, we were flexible and open to accept their substitutions, substitutions and request to have sauces on the side was not followed or left off altogether, I won’t even tell you about how my steak shrunk when replaced. The portions were also smaller than advertised, menu online was greater than restaurant menu. Our plate presentation was off, my husband ordered a meal with sweet potato mash, unfortunately it spread all over his plate, and everything from the small salmon piece to the shrimp were bathing in the loose sweet potatoes. Now everything that was to be savory was now a sweet mingling mass. Thankfully our other guests didn’t arrive because it took forever for the four of us to get our meals, each plate came out singly and more than 25 minutes apart, so we couldn’t dine together as a family as was the intention for the evening. And with plates coming out slow and spaced the food was cold. Management came to speak with us, I said that I believe communication between chef and servers suffered and caused the beginning problems of substitutions. But as for delayed, messy, burnt asparagus, cold food that was solely on the kitchen. Owner said comp whole dinner, but we ended up with a reduced bill at the end

Our first and likely last visit was terrible. To begin with, the restaurant music was unbearably loud. So loud it was impossible to hold a conversation. We asked that the music volume be lowered but, the volume increased. After a second request the volume finally decreased. The food inappropriately arrived all at once, the appetizers and entrees. Unfortunate but not a deal breaker. The meal was awful. The rice that accompanied the seafood meal had a bizarre mixture of seasonings and was not at all representative of the description on the menu. My salmon was described as skinless but arrived, skin intact and very soggy. Finally, the cost of the meal was way beyond the quality of the meal I would describe as barely mediocre.
The Bentley's experience was Great (service, ambiance, management, drinks, food, and cleanliness). The crab cakes were alittle salty but it was all crab meat no filler (a plus). The mashed sweet potatoes, mixed vegetables, and corn muffins were delicious. The drinks were great. The bang pow shrimp appeitizer was delicious. The Presentation and Ambiance, ans Wait Staff was excellent and will put Bentleys on the map. The word is out and I will be back as a regular.
The food and service was excellent. We had the seaside, baked chicken, brisket sliders, corn bread and strawberry shortcake. Nothing disappointed. The number and range food options on the happy hour menu were impressive.
