Au Bon Pain - Baltimore

The customer service at this restaurant is quite poor. It seems that the employees are not invested in their jobs, responding with annoyance instead of taking pride in fulfilling orders. The lighter-skinned guy in glasses preparing the salads should really consider finding a different role.

This café is situated inside the Maryland Medical Center and primarily serves the hospital staff, faculty, and students of the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) campus. The coffee they offer is decent, but nothing exceptional.

I had a disappointing experience with the customer service at this restaurant. The server had an intimidating demeanor and rushed me while I was trying to read the menu. When I asked why she was in such a hurry, she bluntly replied that she was finishing her shift and wanted to go home. It was around 4:20 PM, and while I understand that people can get tired, her attitude suggested she wasn't happy in her job. Unfortunately, it’s not our fault. As relatives of patients in the hospital, we already have enough to deal with without being treated poorly by the staff in the hospital’s adjacent establishments. The food was good, but the rude service left a bad impression.

Why is this place still open. They never have eggs, crossaints, sugar cream, it's always an issue. Always closing for short hours. PLEASE replace the whole store nightshift needs to eat too. I hate it here.

Ridiculously high prices, $6.97 for a slice of lemon bread and cinnamon crescent. They don't have CREAMER!! They were out of skim milk and almond milk, we asked for some They said they were out. Bad management!
