Stopped in here on a Monday as we heard they offered half price Impossible Burgers on Monday nights, and sure enough they did. Also noticed they had a good number of other vegan selections including a vegan Kung Pao, tuna melt and Reuben. The menu also offered additional options that could be veganized . Our was friendly and helpful and the place had a cool, buzzy retro vibe. Will definitively be back.
Definitely a go-to spot for me in Baltimore. I would choose R2V's vegan options over some from all-vegan places in town. They just know how to cook tasty stuff. The menu changes occasionally (maybe 2-3 times per year so it doesn't ever get boring, but they always have at least 5 labeled vegan options at both brunch and dinner. And it's substantial stuff. The Impossible Burger and the tofu gyros (which sadly, I don't think are on the menu anymore) are some faves. Plus, local beers on tap, almost never have to wait for a table and the prices are very reasonable. They even have gluten-free-vegan offerings for people who need that. As of the time of writing this there are 3 fully v/gf entrees. Rocket to Venus definitely takes care of their vegan customers and is a quirky Baltimore joint that's worth supporting.
This place has the best vegan roasted chicken sandwiches in town. Prompt service, generous portions, reasonable prices, a large beer menu and a covered terrace all add to reasons why I first get out of town friends and relatives.
I've gone to Rocket for over ten years and I can say I never had a bad meal there. I have never dared too far from burgers or train mi with some fried pimples or a pulpit. A bar and a restaurant. Stop at the bar/bar next to food and you? I will have a great meal. In addition, it has a good selection of beers and everything is quite expensive. I hope I've been here for decades.
