What Carey Friesen doesn't like about The Cottage Bar and Kitchen:
We don’t come here often but it was always a treat. The food was wonderful. Sadly, since a new simplified menu some years ago, the food has been average, nothing to really complain about but certainly not special anymore. I did send the french fries back as they arrived cold. I must say that they were very good about that and replaced them willingly and did not charge us for them. View all feedback.
The first time and lived up to expectations. we had luck getting a table outside, with the heatings to keep us warm. we enjoyed the arancini, brussel sprouts, pizzas. will definitely return.
Eating was terrible the morton bay bug special (which we paid $40 for) was watery and old and ice cold.
That was my first time eating in the cottage and I absolutely loved it. the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and picturesque, much ambiente. great service, attentive waiting staff that worries about us and eating! great selection of options on the menu, including vegetarian options. we tried 4 of common plates, 3 different nets and 2 desserts and all we had was delicious! Moreover, they have a comprehensive wine list to go with the food, with many high-quality crying. will definitely return what a Jewel!
Amazing! A must do for a long, lazy, boozy lunch. The food and ambiance are awesome. Was such a lovely afternoon.
Great food also love the old house turned restaurant so much nicer than the standard storefront style bar/restaurant. Great date night place but can be a bit noisy
