Nestled in a quaint village, this restaurant boasts beautiful food and a delightful ambiance, drawing both locals and visitors. While many rave about the quality and variety of the menu, service experiences paint a different picture. Some diners reported unprofessional interactions, particularly from younger staff, leaving them feeling uncomfortable. Issues such as stifling conditions and unappealing dishes emerged as common points of criticism. Nevertheless, others have enjoyed excellent meals and friendly service, highlighting that positive experiences can prevail. A unique blend of culinary delights awaits, but be prepared for the variability in service quality.

Hadn't eaten here in a while and called back to try this restaurant again recently. The food was good the regular chips were just awful that is why I took off a star cold and greasy. If you order a large soft drink a pint of it arrives we weren't aware it would be so large!! Lovely desserts and fabulous coffee. The staff are so nice, very efficient and so very hardworking, congratulations to them for keeping such a b... View all feedback.
What LiviaO1989 dislikes about Millside:
Young girls are very unprofessional towards male partners, didn’t acknowledge females of the party at the start, or giving menus etc continued to stare intently at males any time at table. The males felt very uncomfortable and after tonight my partner doesn’t want to return. We ate in both restaurants this month, Sat 13th and 31st Jan, same experiences with two young waitresses with blonde hair. It has been commented... View all feedback.

The males felt very uncomfortable and after tonight my partner doesn’t want to return. We ate in both restaurants this month, Sat 13th and 31st Jan, same experiences with two young waitresses with blonde hair. It has been commented in our work circles and wider friends of similar experiences. It’s a pity as the food is beautiful but just a very strange atmosphere and when working professionals, it is nice to enjoy an evening out. We have never experienced that level of unprofessionalism elsewhere. I rarely leave a poor review but would go elsewhere for service.
We recently visited this so called restaurant. We were very disappointed with the food we ordered and extremely disappointed with the service we received. This place is no more than a glorified cafe that charges restaurant prices. take your money somewhere else.
Wonderful restaurant. I go back again and again. Food is fantastic and very reasonably priced.Good food good service. Very friendly and helpful.
We as a large group of 25 had a fabulous meal for my husbands 60th birthday ..yes we pre ordered as you can guess it made it easier for the staff ...the food was absolutely amazing ...everyone commented on how good it was.. The staff were so accommodating and the service was great..I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a night out ..well done to all staff for a very enjoyable evening ..thank you

Beautiful setting. Speedy and attentive service. Extensive menu, largely chicken and beef but some nice fish alternatives. Large portions. COVID measures in place. Nice addition of toiletries in the bathroom. All round good experience.
We had come to the area because we had been told, that not only was it a very unique place with a lot of history about the Monrovian settlement but that there also was a very good restaurant here. The Millside turned out to be the place where locals were coming for their Sunday lunch. A first for us, and Rachel our server welcomed us with a lovely smile. We both went for the 3 course and it was very tasty indeed. We did share a starter, Garlic mushrooms and spring rolls. Then we both enjoyed the roast with all the trimmings. For dessert one had the icecream with fruits and the other had the cheesecake and both went down a treat. The ambience of this place is lovely and we will definitely be back.
We went to this restaurant on July 10, 2021, with a group of six people. They have a wide-ranging menu, especially for those who are gluten-free. The food and service were both outstanding, and the staff was very friendly. Just keep in mind that it is a bring your own bottle establishment.
Such an efficient, safe and professional service from Millside. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, I got a takeaway for dinner, as part or the offers on a Friday night. The food was excellent, and portion was fantastic. Easily called in, and I stated the time I could collect. The 2 female staff were so friendly and professional, they deserve credit in the current situation. They probably do not realise how positive an effect they have at the moment, by offering their food to take home. The offers are great, and compete with other takeaway establishments- but with such a varied choice of menu. I’ll be back, both takeaway and sit in (when possible).
