I decided to order takeout and was pleasantly surprised to find... read more I came to this restaurant for some late-night food on a Sunday when everything else was closed. I decided to order takeout and was pleasantly surprised to find that my food was still hot after a 15-minute drive back home in the cold night. Their takeout containers do a great job of retaining heat. The food was tasty, although not particularly healthy - it's meant to be indulgent and delicious. A word of warning for anyone from the US: when you see "garlic" on the menu here, it often means garlic mayo. I forgot this and was disappointed to find mayo on my garlic cheese fries. So be prepared for that!

Th... read more This restaurant is the top choice for fish and chips in Ballinrobe, although it may be because there are no other authentic fish and chips shops in the area. The food here is excellent, except for the chips which are often overcooked and too crunchy for my liking. However, the meat and condiments are top quality. The combination of great value and friendly staff make this chipper a fantastic choice.

The fish was freshly cook... read more After a day spent in the car we were tired and just wanted plain fare that satisfied. We found this gem and would highly recommend it. The fish was freshly cooked in a light crispy batter and the chips were the best we have tasted in a long time. Accompanied by good strong tea this was just what we needed, the staff were very nice and the place is spotlessly clean. There aren`t many tables but it`s worth the wait if need be. Parking for customers right outside the door.
