we were at the weekend in the city and were looking for Chinese. we have reviewed other criticuses and were impressed by pictures of the crispy crushed chicken. we also ordered the spicy mango shrimp. the crispy, roared chicken was amazing! we also enjoyed the garnels (although the cocks were up! we will definitely come back! highly recommended. What User doesn't like about Modern Asia:
I ordered the shrimp pad Thai and it was terrible. The dish lacked flavor and it seems like they forgot to add the sauce altogether. I have been here before and since Covid, the quality of the food has significantly decreased. I do not recommend eating here; instead, try Thaimeric down the street for better quality and flavor. We recently discovered this Chinese restaurant in Frederick and it has quickly become our favorite spot for Chinese cuisine. We were impressed by the dining experience and enjoyed the lo mein noodles and curry dishes. The leftovers we took home tasted amazing for days.
I have ordered from this restaurant several times and have found the food to be consistently good. Although I have not explored their menu extensively, I am hooked on their beef lo mein, which is one of the best I have ever had. The portion of beef is generous and the noodles are flavorful and delicious. The large bowl is so big that it can easily feed more than two people, but it's so tasty that I don't want to share. My fiance loves the soft shell crab, ordering it every time we visit. She even ordered two combo dinners last night. Their cheese steak egg rolls are also delicious. The only reason I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because I have not tried much of their menu and because of COVID, they were only offering takeout. However, they are now open for dine-in and the interior looks very nice. I plan to return to eat in the restaurant and will update my review with a full dining experience.

From the beginning, with a steaming hot towel for our hands, I was in love. the 5 star ratings are not! modern asia has amazing food! I had hot and sour soupe, yaum garnelen, thai basil chicken and a large wall sunrise. my native king had honeybread pork, chicken panang curry and the French birne. every dish/drink was fantastic! I even said at one point, okay, I'd go to frederick to eat here regularly. the waiting staff was incredibly attentive without suffocating. drinks were filled. really awesome hole in the wall. we're coming back!
