They could have a couple more outlets placed in easy to access area as electronics these days, for a family, do require power. A few of the staff were quite rude. Service in the restaurant was focused on large tours and not on small family groups. The views of the water from the lounges and restaurant are nice. We had a view of the town and a small view of the fjord from our room. The room did require some quick repairs, and those were completed while we had dinner. There are a few other hotels in town with a view of the water that might provide better customer care and service.

We booked an historic... read more One of the best hotels in Southern Norway. It’s quiet and every inch is beautiful—from the furnishings to the sweeping views of the fjord. We booked an historic room with a large balcony (highly recommend), and enjoyed the buffet (much better than Freitheim), the lounge and bar areas, and the easy access to the outdoors from the hotel’s pier.
