Our #1 choice for dinner in Balestrand. Unfortunately not for a romantic late night dinner as they close at 19:00. The bistro is situated in the lobby of the kvitnes hotel. Friendly and professional staff. Small menu but with good quality food. We have not tried the restaurant of the hotel itself. It is a buffet style restaurant in a giagantic hall with long tables. A very dystopian view in my opinion. View all feedback.
What Kora Johansen doesn't like about Balholm And Bistro:
Came in for dinner as tenants. Had a burger and a substitute for cod(turbot). They were very busy. The fish had 3 half’s of baby potatoes, and 3 other pieces of starch. Doubtful this was the intended serving size. They had run out of lamb so they were probably skimping. Their other dishes. Service forgot about us twice. Once after we ordered desert and again waiting for a check. They were mildly rude the second time... View all feedback.
There for lunch. large selection of appetizers, salad, brot, meat, fish and desserts. everyone found something they like. I highly recommend it.
We enjoyed our meal here, the bark derecôte and seafood smorgas with garnel, lobster and cured salmon. more cozy place, despite in a hotel lobby. caesar salat was not a real caesar salat (franch style dressing but came with a large portion forellen.
Good choice between local seafood and meat. large wine list with more than 300 weeps.
Good food and fast service! about the view. amazing!
