King Crab Shack - Balch Springs

It had been a while since my last visit, so the other day I decided to try the catfish and shrimp. Unfortunately, it was terrible. It seems like they might have new owners or something, as the breading was extremely hard and completely lacked cornmeal. It felt like they mixed water, flour, and seasoning—essentially making a glue-like substance—and then fried it. I won't be wasting my money here again, as I had to throw away two meals because they were inedible. It's a shame because this place used to be excellent. They've even changed the fries, and they're not good either. If they continue serving food like this, I don't think they'll be around much longer.

This is the worst restaurant I've ever been to. The prices are high, but the food and service don't justify it at all. The fish was overcooked, the shrimp was chewy and tasteless, and the frozen crawfish tasted like cardboard. To make matters worse, I didn't even eat the crawfish but was still charged for it. The staff had a bad attitude, and the customer service was terrible. The women's restrooms were dirty, and one of the stalls was so cramped that you could practically touch the door with your face. I will never return and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, not even my worst enemy.

I had to give a one-star rating because that was the only option available, but we didn't actually eat there. We sat in a booth for over 30 minutes without being attended to, while a staff member casually walked around. There was a white girl eating behind the counter and another black girl just sitting on a stool, seemingly not busy at all. It would have been more understandable if the restaurant had been crowded, but there was only one other group there. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and I will never return.

Either the shrimps were over boiled or old, as they would fall apart whenever both my wife and I would peel them! They were supposed to be Cajun, with garlic flavoring but tasted more like Garlic Salt, with too much salt! I personally Do Not Recommendeating here, and of course, we shall not be returning!
