The Stranded Shipscook Inn - Balamban

Amazing steaks! After experiencing several disappointments in the Philippines, I finally found an excellent T-bone steak in the small town of Balamban. The other menu options were also fantastic. The atmosphere is pleasant, set in a quiet garden restaurant where I ended up staying longer than I intended, enjoying a few beers as well. I will definitely be returning soon!

The staff are extremely attentive, and the food remains excellent even when Günther isn’t present. He has trained his team very well, and they manage the bistro excellently. Make sure to try all the dishes on the menu; you’ll be as thrilled as I always am! It’s a great spot for German natives who occasionally crave German food. I highly recommend trying the railway barrier (German sausage with curry sauce, mayonnaise, and fries), as well as the steak, pizza, and kassler. If you’re in Balamban, don’t miss it!

This restaurant offers delicious food and a lovely garden. I've been traveling with my biker group, and we've always had a great meal and excellent service here. I highly recommend it, even though it can be a bit difficult to locate.

Great Experience with regards to the served food. Delicious dishes which satisfied our cravings for a sumptuous dinner. If one will plan to have a dinner, it would be great to order your food to be served in advanve. For the Transportation: you will need to have your own or rent a car/motorcycle/etc to get you in the place. The ambiance is not so perfect but is it good. For your next food-adventure! This restaurant is situated in a remote area in Pondol,Balamban. From Balamban, it is on the left side. About half kilometer from the main road.There is a feddle road beaide Belen's Inato Restaurant. Go straight on this half -concrete private road. Its location is not the typical restaurant along the highways or on the mountain top where tourists normally visit. It is a two-storey old house. They converted the first floor to a restaurant. The parking can only cater up to 6-7 American pick-up trucks and cars. Be patient when you order. Since they freshly cook your food prior to serving them so they are served hot, yummy and spicy. Their specialty is Thai Curry. They can cook also European foods like Schintzel, Rosti and Steak. They accept reservation. En guete!
