I love this place, every time I visit the food is excellent and the service is friendly and quick. The outside terrace is a nice space on a sunny day, something that's a bit lacking in the rest of Baiona. Not the cheapest restaurant in town, but it's worth it. I particularly like the chipirones with caramelized onion.
Amazing fish, the turbot is a must if available. Also the corujo, a local version of the turbot, actually tastier and cheaper. The cod is also great. The staff could not be friendlier. The chef is from Asturias, simply a legend
26 family and friends were in Baiona for a wedding, beautiful place. On the last night (Saturday) we all went to Azafran. With there being so many of us I thought the staff coped really well, they were friendly and the atmosphere was great. Wine was fantastic for 12 euros a bottle. I personally had the steak kebabs which were incredible. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food, I remember the chicken kebabs seemed a bit undercooked though. We had children with is and they were catered for really well. This restaurant was very reasonably priced, atmospheric with a lovely terrace if you wished to sit outside. All in all a very enjoyable experience.
The food was OK but the fish was overpriced and the service very slow. There are better options in Baiona
First night in Baiona. Thank you trip advisor. Thursday night and walked here. Off the beaten path. Not crowded. One large group, local family having birthday dinner. Nice server who spoke some but not much English. The locals heard her struggle and translated. But menu was in English. It worked fine. Beautiful scallops, yummy octopus and clams dish with a sauce you had to did your bread into. Then a whole fish which was terrific. Finally croquettes. Nice white wine. Go there for a more local experience. You won’t regret it.
