this is definitely good when they are a trucker and need some healthy options. but I can't imagine a trucker who stops here. they no longer take commands, so worrying they can think. it's all cold cool, but it's fresh. it is hard to go wrong with a tuna sandwich. the salmon salad was pretty good, he has a little mushy on the bottom, but the salmon was smokey and great! great first experience, but I wouldn't come. More recently, I tried the tuna salad sandwich, but I wasn't a fan. The use of cottage cheese didn’t appeal to me, and the texture of the ahi tuna was less enjoyable than regular tuna. Additionally, the bread was incredibly soggy, soaking through worse than any other grab-and-go sandwich I can recall. Once again, the prices were on the high side.

So disappointed that Jake's has chosen to transition permanently to plastic wrapped cold cut and tuna sandwiches. I used to dream about their amazing fish sandwiches and my partner adored their hamburgers, and we would literally budget extra time whenever passing through Bainbridge to make sure we could stop and grab a few. They were never a dine in place being located in a gas station , so the order call in and takeout would have been perfect during COVID, and goodness knows BI needs more good and convenient takeout and deli food! Such a shame. Don't bother going out of your way based on the old reviews and description of services. If you are looking for a wide variety of cold wrapped food and even a hot bar you will have much better luck at Town Country or Safeway.
Although it may seem counter to what we are accustomed to, this establishment is an excellent place for a gourmet meal of comfort food. Give up any stereotype you may have formed and give it a try. You’ll be back.
Jake's is a truly distinctive establishment located within a gas station on High School Road. Due to COVID-19, they are currently only offering prepared food for takeout. During my visit, they had just made egg salad sandwiches and deviled eggs, which I decided to try. They also have a wide selection of soups and meats that you can take home to reheat, along with various desserts that I plan to sample in the future. The egg salad sandwich was fantastic, and the deviled eggs were incredibly tasty with excellent seasoning. I will definitely return, especially to try their tuna sandwich!

Maybe I've just ordered the wrong items. There must be a reason why people rave about this place so much, but at this point, I wouldn’t say it’s worth going out of your way to visit. As a truck stop convenience store, it's definitely a cool place to check out if you’re local, but when compared to restaurants and cafes, nothing I've had there really stood out as gourmet.
Currently, they do not serve hot food, as mentioned on Twitter. However, the pre-made sandwiches were fantastic, especially the salmon sandwich.
