What Ettie Feil doesn't like about Cafe Hitchcock:
we went there on Saturday at 10:48 a.m. we didn't see anything we wanted on their breakfast menu, but their lunch menu looked great. the lunch began at 11:00 a.m. I said to the author: “Lunch starts in 10 minutes, can we order lunch now? okay, I exaggerated, it was 12 minutes, not 10. the actor saw the lady next to us for an answer. this lady snored with us and said, "It is 15 minutes, not 10 and no, we will not". wo... We ate here on Saturday night and it was fantastic. We were just walking into the street, but were warmly welcomed and sitting without a problem. Dinner was wonderful with the fetters with pigs Ragu somehow managed, both light but rich in taste. Right with the gnocchi, light small pillows of the dough with a tasteful sauce.. We really enjoyed Hitchcock and come here for dinner to Bainbridge.
We just had dinner there with wine pairings. The food was wonderful. The pairings were really interesting, including Sherry's and varietals we hadn't tried. We will be back with friends, so that we can try more on the menu. A shout to Tahlia for her amazing pairings.
An amazing, amazing dinner last night at Hitchcocks. We did the tasting menu basically turning ourselves over to the chef and he didn't disappoint. From the selection of local oysters to start through the creme brûlée to finish it was all good. Certainly a step up in food quality from our Denny's Anniversary dinner last year. Highlight for me was the duck prosciutto. Can't wait to go back!
I highly recommend the chef's tasting. Delicious food courses, perfect variety, complementary wine pairings and and a fantastic view of the kitchen. My favorite on Bainbridge Island. Y'all go!
Amazing menu with locally procured ingredients worth the drive from Tacoma.....
