I had high hopes for this restaurant. The interior was charming, with candles and flowers adding a cozy touch, and a lovely view of the water. The owner was friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. However, the food was a major disappointment. The fresh rolls, usually made with a variety of veggies, glass noodles, and shrimp, were filled with only shredded cabbage. Tired of waiting?. Doc's and the pub had a 25 min. waiting and we decided to try the BTC 2 for $15 lunch special. The food was super-we had excellent Broccoli chicken and pad thai and service. To finish it, we had a great view of the port. We were just once, but I think her food is consistent as they have been in operation for 19 years. I recommend Bainbridge Thai....
WOW!. This was an amazing find! The hospitality of Teddy was beyond my wildest dreams. I brought in my disabled 91 year old grandmother, and both of us were treated like guests in the home of the wonderful owner. He acknowledged my grandmother, something that is not common when we venture out. The cook came out to ask me about how to specially prepare the food for grandma , like soft boil, spices, specific veggies. The spice in my found was perfect! Hot enough to eat is how it was described to me, and I must say, the 2 star dish I got would be the equivalent to a 4 or 5 star in most places. The freshness was superb! Flavors that melded perfectly together. The environment was perfect. Looking out at the waterfront area made for an intimate setting that I never would have guessed from the outside of the place. I will happily return to this restaurant on future visits to Bainbridge Island. The food was amazing, but being treated like family is what truly won me over!
Thai food is the best on the island IMHO cashew chicken, pad Thai and duck Ginger (dinner only) are my favorites. Food is fresh and delicious. Spice levels are consistent. View of marina and patio dining option is great and Teddy is a very gracious and entertaining host!
Location, location, location. Come for a quiet table right on the marina, not for the food, not for the mediocre service. Chicken satay was surprisingly bland.
Best kept secret on BI. Really tasty Thai. Great view of Eagle Harbor. I've been many times and always think that I need to go more often. Fair prices. Nice decor. Love the pad thai, ginger chicken, appetizers are all super. Run by a really nice family.
