As an Italian, I truly enjoy this restaurant for Italian cuisine more than any other place nearby! It's a lovely spot with fantastic food, and honestly, you can't beat the value for what you get. I've been there several times and plan to keep going as long as I'm welcome. View all feedback.

The Italian food was fantastic, and the waitress was very attentive, visiting our table often. I highly recommend this restaurant. It's a good idea to make reservations, especially on weekends. As for parking, there is a bank parking lot available directly across the street.
I had a truly disappointing experience at The Leaning Tree Italian restaurant for our 13th-anniversary celebration. We drove an hour to get there from Raleigh, only to find ourselves facing multiple issues. Firstly, the food was grossly overpriced for what it was. To make matters worse, when we received a hamburger that was raw, the female owner not only refused to acknowledge the problem but also became confrontational and threatening, insisting it was an Italian hamburger. It took immense effort, including input from three other employees and almost coming to blows from the owner, to finally have our entree replaced.Furthermore, the excessive amount of raw garlic sprinkled on our side items was overwhelming and unpalatable, making it impossible to finish our meal. As someone who considers themselves an Italian food connoisseur, having visited Italy multiple times and experienced authentic cuisine both in the countryside and big cities, this restaurant fell far short of our expectations. The confrontation with the owner, coupled with the disappointing food quality, has left us with no choice but to never return. I regret to say that I cannot recommend the Leaning Tree Italian restaurant to any of my friends or family based on this dreadful experience.
A special date night spot that my wife loves! My wife’s family is from New England and when they come to visit we’re always at the Leaning Tree. Authentic Italian dishes ?Dietary restrictions: My sister in law is gluten free. We called ahead to make a reservation and they even got gluten free pasta for her that night! Very accommodating

Absolutely amazing experience! I give it a perfect 10 out of 10. Mary and Rick are wonderful and incredibly helpful. They took care of the food preparation and supply.
It's quite surreal to see this house again, as I grew up here during my teenage years. This was my father's grandmother's home. I moved in at 13 and lived here until I turned 18. You've done an incredible job redesigning the exterior and some of the interior; it looks so different now. I would love to take a tour and revisit my childhood memories. I wonder if the glass window is still on the landing and if the elevator is still there.
I absolutely adore this restaurant and enjoy collaborating with them! Photographing events here is a dream, and I’m always thrilled when I get the opportunity to work at this venue!
Rick, Mary and their staff were very friendly, professional, and absolutely delightful! Food was delicious! The venue itself is a gorgeous renovation of a 1910 house. They can accommodate groups of six people or 100+ so it is amazing for small family celebrations! It would be a great place for corporate events, too. For weekend events they share parking across the street.
