Giant Stairs Seafood Grille

We had a great time here and we came back... and again! The first time was lunch, and we both got the lobster rolls. Yum! To love so much here! Because it was so wonderful, we came back to the lobster dinner! This was a generous part of the lobster and it was freshly caught right in front of the house where we stayed! So cool! On the way out of town the next day we could not resist going back for more lobster rolls! Great service, friendly locals and good prices. Oh, and certainly not miss the homemade onion rings. The best I ever had!

Wonderful place! We were on a week trip to Bailey Island when we went to this restaurant. My husband got the fish and I had shrimps. Meals were absolutely delicious! I wanted the crabcakes, but they were all sold. The waitress apologized twice, but really it was okay because the shrimps were excellent. Each plate came with two vegetables. There was no line to get in, but the place was constantly busy with Din-in-Pärtner and To-go orders. We will definitely feed again on our next trip.

This was our first day at Bailey Island and was looking for a place just a few minutes' walk from our Driftwood Inn accommodations. We chose The Giant Stairs Seafood Grille based on previous reviews. We were not disappointed. The food was Maine all the way and the waiter was friendly and satisfied all our wishes, including wonderfully warm dinner rolls, which are not part of the general menu we ordered. My wife had the Lobster Roll, which was filled with the equivalent of a lobster with frits for under $15.00. I had the crab cakes with Pommes and Coleslaw. Excellent food all the way. For Dessert Blueberry Pie, filled with sweet juicy berries, and a crisp flocky crust. It was obvious that the homemade cake was made with lemon juice and a hint of cinnamon. This will be our way to the restaurant again this trip.

Stopped in for breakfast and was so busy! The wait was less than 10mins. Staff was very friendly and engaging. I had Lobster eggs Benedict on an English muffin. Perfect Maine lobster! Swapped home fries for corned beef hash, no problems with swap! The corned beef hash was cooked just a bit underdone, but still good. The homemade blueberry muffin... delish! This is a dine in or take out restaurant. They also serve lunch and dinner, with alcohol available. We were with friends who had their baby with them, the staff was very accommodating and the restaurant is very family friendly. The food good, the atmosphere light. There is outdoor seating also. I would recommend and come back again when visiting Bailey Island again.

Loved it, great fish sandwich. Loved Jan's chocolate cake. Sister said the chowder was very good. We try to get here every year when we visit the island. We will be back.
