Great place to spend a day there. There is an interpretation centre and the lighthouse visit is required. the guides are very courteous and competent. To see!

This historic lighthouse, and well restored, is located in a splendid site where you can picnic on tables scattered on the rocks. small 22 min film on the history of the interesting lighthouse. superb view of the top of the lighthouse. Cost a little high ($12 per person)

Pointe des monts is located on the north bank of San lorenzo, in the state of québec and in the region of the asylum, in a bay called Baie-Trinité. is a historic site, a few hours drive from the famous town of tadoussac. quato restaurant is located inside the lighthouse, symbol of the resort. It is a restaurant with refined and elaborate cuisine, mainly based on fish caught in the surrounding areas. Upon arrival, the chef of the restaurant welcomes you, a bizarre lady with a little eclectic ways, who will illuminate you through a photo book all the dishes in the menu. the explanation is strictly in French Quebecoise, so premunite with a good dose of imagination even if as I know the French, because it is really difficult to understand something. anyway, let yourself be guided and inspired by the eye and the photo album. The environment: it is definitely refined, and also the dinner is strictly by reservation, also because, apart from a second local nearby, it is the only restaurant within several kilometers from the area. the restaurant also serves tourists staying in the chalets located around the lighthouse. The service: it is rather slow, also because the dishes are presented in a very elaborate and accurate manner and this involves a long waiting time. The price: is not cheap. The kitchen: challenging choice for those like me is not used to these types of restaurant. I personally found the good cuisine, with very delicate flavors. the style is however European, with clear references to the French cuisine, but not only. Last useful indication: do not go too late in the evening; in these areas you will have dinner very early, and not infrequently after 21.00 is all closed.
