Very good foie gras, ex... read more Outstanding experience, in fact so good that my wife and I went back two days after our first visit. A classy place, warm and cozy room. Very good foie gras, excellent Charolais beef, frog legs and raviolis all close to or worthy a 1 star Michelin rating in terms of taste and presentation. The best part: this restaurant gives you 4 or 5 CHOICES for each course, while so many others (including 1 star restaurants in the area) give guests often only one choice, like fish or meat? ... The wine list is very good and fairly priced with lots of half bottle choices. The cheese tray is excellent and goes beyond the typical local cheeses. Service was both friendly and caring the owner takes the time to explain each dish and preparations well even if your French is less than perfect. € 49 for the 4 course menu is very fair and beats almost any of the better restaurants for Q/P in the area. Bravo!

It was cooked in wine and del... read more WE were here 2 years ago and encountered here the famous poulet de Bresse. Its leg was so big it was almost larger than the dish ! It was cooked in wine and delicious. This time a 1/2 chicken arrived which was so small that half animal comfortably filled the entire dish. It tasted very little (and the taste present was of a not fresh animal) and was accompanied by a wine cream not really fresh. For a price of only....35 Euro/portion. I read that this type of animal should weigh 2Kgs. Our one did not arrive to 1 Kg; in fact during the previous visit my portion included just the leg; this time half animal (leg, wing and breast) was served. Disappointing.
