What an experience! The cuisine is really unique as the chef really personalises the regional dishes with his vision and creativity. Everything is special. The personnel is super friendly and professional. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. Really one of the best mountain restaurant I tried. View all feedback.
At the end we succeeded in having a reservation after 2 years... Anyway we choose to pass a weekend in its Hotel Rosa Alpina (see its review . At the entrance we were welcome by all the personnel, we can say 10 people: it was warm and impressive. Foods were at top with genuine and fresh materials. We can find some meals too much elaborate: maybe would be better to stay on raw materials, for example for the trout. Another doubt is about their flagship the GNOCCHI DI RAPA ROSSA a bit overkill so maybe has lost its initial strength. A top restaurant needs a superb wine list: we find they did a good job and we have to say thanks to mr Paolo, the sommelier: He dared and this is what we expect by a sommelier in a such restaurant. We have already ate in other 3 stars in Italy, but st Hubertus deserves them. (Other 3starred restaurants honestly have got them more for PR and their history ...
What an incredible dining experience. From the presentation to the service, everything was just perfect. When we sat down at our table, there was something under a glass dome. Turns out it was our loaf of bread, slowly rising and waiting to be baked. It came out from the kitchen steaming hot and soooooo delicious. And it was all uphill from there :
Enjoyed every second! Wonderful service, creative and delicious food! Deserves its 3 Michelin stars!
Ohmywow not to be forgotten quickly, or probably ever, this was a meal we felt blessed to have (even with a sweetbread and tongue course, which wouldn't have been our group's obvious orders). From the amuse bouches in the restaurant reception, with a warm and relaxed greeting from Chef Norbert Niederkofler himself, the evening was delicious for every sense. We chose the 6 course option, not wanting to overwhelm our tastebuds, but with the team's generous service, we figured it ended up being about 10 plates by the end. They must've seen our appreciation of their incredible craft! Do not miss this if you're in the area and have budget for a (great value) bigger ticket meal.
We were staying at the Rosa Alpina in wonderful San Cassiano for 5 days, and thus were able to secure booking at this 3 star Michelin restaurant. It met all expectations: delicious, artful presentation, creative cuisine and we enjoyed a lovely visit with Chef Norbert! Magical evening. Expensive of course, but a special occasion experience based on local/regional ingredients.
