On a positive note, the waitstaff was exceptionally friendly, but no amount of pleasant service can salvage poor food. Our focus is on the dining experience, and in that regard, this place fell short. We also had breakfast here due to our stay at the hotel and a breakfast voucher. The buffet was passable, featuring somewhat decent scrambled eggs, although some items were stale—likely because we arrived after 9:30. At least they offered a respectable brand of green tea, which is a step up from Lipton. Plus, the staff’s kindness and the impressive view during breakfast were appreciated. However, none of that was enough to elevate our overall rating beyond one star; after all, we aren't at a restaurant for the scenery when we can enjoy that on the Cabot Trail. There are individuals on another review site who have given this establishment favorable ratings, but I suspect their taste buds might be failing them (the clientele skews quite elderly), and they likely weigh service and view more heavily in their assessments. Additionally, some might assume that because they’re paying a premium, the food must be good, even if they can’t truly taste it—that's human psychology for you! To be clear, that breakfast was not worth the absurd $14 price tag that some paid per person. My advice? Skip this place and grab some chips from a convenience store or plan ahead. If you're coming from Routes 104 and 105 from the west, be warned: there are no supermarkets visible from the highway past roughly Antigonish. There might be one in Port Hawkesbury, but good luck finding it!

This review focuses on a one-star dish that was packed with misleading claims.

We went to the pub when the restuarant was closed. the young lady who served was personal and pleasant, and the musical entertainment was very diverse and fun. but eating was disappointing. I had the scallops that were over boiled and dry, the spagetti was greasy and tasteless. the fish and chips of my friend were also cooked and very salty. the local beer was very good. I would recommend this place for a drink and entertainment, but do not go there for good food.

We paid for our drinks and left a tip for our server, as we felt she had not been properly trained and could not be held accountable for her lack of experience. We left feeling uncertain about the future of this place. Despite having read numerous reviews beforehand, we decided to give it a try anyway... What a mistake!

This restaurant was quite disappointing. The fish and chips were subpar, and the chicken sandwich was even worse. The menu lacked variety and was quite limited. If you're gluten-free, your choices are basically wings or a chicken sandwich without the bun. Where is the fresh seafood? The chef should be embarrassed to serve the low-quality food they prepare here. I recommend saving your time and heading to the McDonald's 50 km away; their Filet-O-Fish is better than anything you'll find at this place. On a positive note, the live music was enjoyable.
