View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Zum Birnbaum:
5 stars for the waiter (I think it was the owner) he managed the whole restaurant on his own, a full house and no guest had to wait! He was checking on our...
We just went to Birnbaum for Sunday lunch. I also had bigger family dinners there as well. The food is cooked fresh and the prices are absolutely ok. Frankonian cooking from scratch. The service personal is very friendly and the Restaurant and it‘s restrooms are...very clean. A great place to habe good tasting food for a good price.
Not very friendly so I think it's mainly for locals. Pork with mushroom cream sauce and spatzle was awesome. The steaks had too much gristle out of separate steaks.
I went to this restaurant based on another review. To be fair, I am still new to German cuisine. The service was above average, the gentleman was very forgiving of my poor German speaking skills. He also spoke English well enough to get us through...the meal. I ordered a schnitzel. It was very good but I must be a little critical in that it was a little bit too salty. I never did see the restaurant's namesake pear tree but also probably wasn't able to ask intelligently. I would eat there again but I'm not in a hurry to get back.
Birnbaum means pear tree in German and they have a live pear tree growing in the front. Just about every Thursday they have a singing club that fills the streets with traditional German songs accompanied by accordian tunes.
