Pleasant setting, looking forward to relaxing evening meal on the terrace. Waitress walked away as we came in, busied herself no greeting. Asked to sit down. Maybe she is new? No help with menu, experienced as not wanting us to be there......chose two fish dishes, salmon ok, other fish was indifferent and both of us had uneasy stomach straight after meal. Very disappointing, so was very expensive relative to food quality and service. Go to Alte Linde other end of road, good food warm welcome, they like people!!!

Please see my review about the hotel itself as it has a section of dining too. Short summary: Great food, however some feedback on improving service. More smiling and engagement with guests needed by staff + explaining of what other items are available during breakfast buffet.

Stayed here mainly because of the adjoining Palais Thermal Spa. A nice hotel, very friendly owners, excellent location, delicious breakfast and excellent location in the centre of Bad Wildbad. One small criticism was the half board dinner. The choice was a little limited in comparison to the a la carte menu also available. It was good hearty food which was much appreciated after a day in the spa.

... if the hotel owner could just step back or stay away, instead of micromanating the entire operation and breathing the bags of the service personnel and order them constantly for any fallen bread crest. This goes through the whole dining room and makes the air... uncomfortable and the servicemen are laborious. This changes completely and for good if it is not seen. Other than that, the food is good and the breakfast buffet is very extensive (only the gluten-free bread option for my wife was unusable, but she came prepared and brought her herself as a backup).

That was the second time we had eaten in this restaurant. Both times the food was delicious and the decor is very tasteful. We went today at noon what we thought would be too late lunch is served up to 1.30... but the very charming and helpful manager said there was someone else in the kitchen and we could have a smaller choice from the menu if we wanted. I chose the Black Forest grilled trout and my husband chose the beef cooked with 3 different cuts of beef. Both were delicious. We also had a local paddy who was very nice. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful from the manager to the young waitress with whom we had a long conversation and advised us about train times etc. We always try to be friendly to the employees and it is usually mutual. I would recommend this restaurant for lunch.
