The restaurant is actually quite cute, and the food in general is probably all very tasty if you eat meat. The vegetable plate consisted of overcooked vegetables, where the only thing left to add was salt. At least the potato dumplings were good. My standards as a vegetarian in traditional German restaurants are very low, but compared to the other dishes, this was extremely disappointing. You didn't even toast the pine nuts?? Next time, I'll just order side dishes. I was so sad when I got the food; I almost cried. Please don't put things like this on your menu. People who don't or can't) eat meat have feelings and taste buds too. :

Unfortunately, this restaurant's glory days are probably over. The food was only mediocre overall. The asparagus cream soup was very creamy, but it clearly lacked asparagus flavor – lots of cream, little substance. The Spätzle were also disappointing: very pale, overcooked in my opinion, and rather bland. The cream sauce was more like a simple cream sauce – it lacked depth and flavor. I would like to commend the side salad, which was fresh and well-balanced. As for the service, I must say it was very pleasant and friendly – no complaints there. However, there was one point that I consider absolutely unacceptable: Around 5:45 p.m., there was a strong feeling that we should leave soon. They were frantically packing up and cleaning, which created an unpleasant atmosphere – even though they officially close at 6:00 p.m. In my opinion, this is completely unacceptable and casts a shadow on the otherwise good service. Therefore, only 4 out of 5 stars overall.

Well, I don't understand the last few posts at all! Six of us went there for a trout dinner, and everyone loved it! We also went there with 14 colleagues, and everyone enjoyed it! Where else can you get Gaisburger Marsch or great Maultaschen?? For me, this is one of the best restaurants with a great location. M. Burr-Jäckel

Unfortunately, the golden age of this restaurant seems to be over. The food was only mediocre overall. The asparagus cream soup was very creamy, but it clearly lacked the flavor of asparagus – lots of cream, little substance. The spaetzle were also disappointing: very light, overcooked in my opinion, and rather bland in flavor. The cream sauce was more reminiscent of a simple cream sauce – it lacked depth and flavor. I would like to highlight the side salad, which was fresh and well-balanced. As for the service, I have to say: very nice and friendly – there was nothing to complain about here. However, there was one point that I consider an absolute no-go: Around 5:45 p.m., you had the strong feeling that you should please leave soon. They were frantically packing up and tidying up, which created an unpleasant atmosphere – even though the restaurant officially closes at 6:00 p.m. This is completely unacceptable in my opinion and casts a shadow on the otherwise good service. Therefore, only 4 out of 5 stars overall.

On Sunday, we, a family of four, reached the Gasthof Adler on a hike. My husband entered the restaurant and asked for a table for four. The kitchen was just closing, and we'd be closing at 6 p.m., he was told. Disappointed, he came out and reported that the waitress had rudely turned him away. Since it was only 5:20 p.m., I went in and asked if they had any coffee and cake for us. I was also told, in an unfriendly and very curt manner, that the cake was out, while a waitress served an ice cream sundae. Several tables in the restaurant were still occupied. We would have also been happy with an offer of a cold drink and a pretzel or some peanuts. Instead, they just wanted to get rid of us quickly, even though the restaurant was still open for another 40 minutes. We wondered how the guests in the dining room felt when they found out about this. This isn't advertising. Dear hosts, hospitality and customer orientation look different!
