I’ve really missed coming here for the amazing catfish and salad bar. My husband is also missing the chicken fried steak. We absolutely love this place and the wonderful people here!

The few patrons present were so close that they coul... read more The hostess led me to a crowded section of the dining area in a large room, with other sections closed off. The few patrons present were so close that they could have easily shaken hands with each other. I understand the precautions in place due to COVID, but it was still uncomfortable. After being seated at a booth, I was told that someone would come to assist me shortly. I briefly saw a waitress head my way, but to my surprise, she abruptly turned around and vanished into the kitchen, avoiding any eye contact with me. Then a young waiter walked by my table, periodically checking in with other tables, yet when he passed my booth, he decided it was more important to clear the adjacent table than acknowledge my presence. I believe that a clean dining environment is important, but I genuinely expected a simple greeting from him as he worked. Unfortunately, like his co-worker, I was invisible to him. I waited patiently while the staff appeared to be in a frenzy, but I still hadn’t placed my drink or food orders. Feeling frustrated, I went to the salad bar to help myself, only to notice that two parties who arrived after me were already being served drinks and food. This was the final straw, especially after being overlooked by the staff multiple times. I approached the hostess and requested to speak with the manager. After a brief delay, she returned and asked for my ticket, to which I explained that I hadn’t been served at all. I greeted the manager with a smile and mentioned that it was my first visit to their restaurant, which she seemed grateful for. However, I then told her it would also be my last, and as her expression changed to one of concern, I recounted my experience. In conclusion, there are plenty of excellent seafood restaurants throughout Texas. This particular establishment would be better off closing down. Do yourself and your wallet a favor: don’t waste your valuable time and money here—choose somewhere else.

Unfortunately, the complimentary peanuts w... read more The restaurant was fairly busy for a Tuesday evening, and there were two friendly young ladies serving at the tables. Unfortunately, the complimentary peanuts were stale and lacked flavor. I ordered the onion rings, which were decent but different from the usual, as the batter had a slightly sweet taste. Still, they were enjoyable. I then had the breaded fried catfish, which looked great but was completely flavorless, leaving me quite disappointed. The staff did cheerfully remove it from the bill. However, the manager seemed indifferent to my complaint, perhaps too caught up in the various awards they had received from a local group. Overall, this experience was a letdown for us, and we won’t be returning.

The service was exceptional,the food was good.We ordered extra food to bring home for sunday.I've heard about them for years from my inlaws and wife.I will go back !!! Good catfish and clams,going back soon and try the chicken fried steak.
