The Ghillie Dhu - Ayr

Some of the food was cold, and my bao buns were dense and heavy, giving the impression that they had been reheated. The Asian stir-fry was disappointingly sparse, containing only a teaspoon or tablespoon of bean sprouts and maybe a few slices of carrot, all drowned in a bland sauce. A few people mentioned that their burgers tasted good, but the spicy ones were not spicy at all. To top it off, everything was served in cardboard containers with disposable wooden cutlery, which was far from what we expected. Overall, the experience was quite underwhelming.

The food was outstanding, and the waitstaff, Michael and Harry, provided top-notch service. The live music was also fantastic. I would highly recommend visiting if you're in Ayr. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It's a nice little pub with very friendly and helpful staff. The cost per person ranges from £10 to £20. Overall, I would rate the food a 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 4.

We had my Birthday lunch here. The food was just amazing and very reasonably priced. Harry was very attentive and pleasant without being intrusive. I cannot praise the restaurant highly enough.
